I had a great idea for a nice black and white night shot, but never got the time to go out at night to take it. So this will have to do in the meantime. Surely someone else has a black & white shot to share? The snow is giving us a perfect opportunity for some shots!

January Photo Challenge Month!

Hi all! It's been a while since we've posted any news here, but we're still here and we're still taking pics! It's been a wild and crazy wedding season for some of us, and one of our members had a baby. But, this month, we're tackling some weekly photo challenges, to help inspire us, get us using some creative techniques, and help us look for those photographic opportunities right under our noses. Keep checking back for some of our challenge images throughout the month. Here's our schedule, so you can follow along:

• January 1-7: creative bokeh (or other creative photo technique)
• January 8-14: black & white
• January 15-21: funny faces
• January 22-28: the people in our lives (neighbors, family members, friends, etc.)
• January 29-Feb 4: photographer's choice week (anything goes)
